We are beyond proud of our girls!

A candid photo capturing a serendipitous first meeting.

    Naomi Obianuju-Omolade Nnewihe

is graduating from Ocean City High School, where she balanced being a 3-sport athlete with academic honors. She will be attending Brown University to study Mechanical Engineering and play Division one Soccer with the Brown Bears. She started playing team soccer at age 4 but was kicking the ball around with her dad as early as 2 years old. Whether it was the EHT travel team, Pinelands EDP, Surf EDP, Surf Select, Ocean City Red Raiders, National Olympic Development Team, or winning Bronze at the Gothia Cup, Naomi brought energy and heart to every game, making memories with her teammates that she will never forget. She has won numerous awards including Sports Illustrated Athlete of the Week, South Jersey Forward of the Year, Cape Atlantic League Player of the Year, Atlantic City Press Player of the Year, and the Prestigious United Coaches All American Award. She is grateful for the opportunity to have played soccer in 11 States, 6 Countries, and 4 Continents and plans to add to these numbers in the future.
She also excels in track, setting and resetting school records during her 4 years as a sprinter. She qualified and attended two USATF Junior Olympic Competitions and raced in the Penn Relays.
One of her most memorable high school sports experiences was being coached by Coach Stephanie Gaitley (Ocean City Alum, award-winning basketball player, and division 1 women’s head coach) to a Sectional Championship in Basketball in her sophomore year. She led her team in points during her senior season and was chosen to play in the Senior All-Star Game for her Conference. She was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of that game.
When Naomi wasn’t on the pitch, track, or court, she was cheering on friends, getting involved around school, and chasing new challenges. Naomi was an officer in Class Council, member of the Math Club, French Club, President of the Investment Club, and a member of the National Honor Society.
Naomi loves music and is a fan of multiple genres. She was a trombone player in her middle school band. She taught herself to play both the acoustic and electric guitars and even built an electric guitar. The Lion King and the Bee Movie are her favorite movies, and her favorite musical is Wicked.
Naomi is excited for what is ahead and thankful to everyone who’s been part of her journey so far!
"A couple hiking together in a beautiful scenic location."

She looks forward to pursuing further studies in Computer Information Systems at Howard University, in Washington, DC, with aspirations to make a meaningful impact in the world.
Jola's achievements inside and outside of the classroom are evidence of her leadership qualities and ability to inspire her peers.
